Ryan McGonegle and Brock Lampe are friends. They are teammates that won championships together and they are competitors in our great Cross-Town Rivalry Football Game. Ryan is the Trojan QB and Brock is a Red Devil LB and RB. In the smaller scheme of things, these are two special kids. They are high level producers on the football field, they are excellent students and they are a credit to their families. In the grand scheme of things, they go from special to “the next generation to do so”. KTown is full of awesome stories like this one where friends play together and then against one another…. or visa versa. This is what makes Kenosha a special place. You cross paths with so many people. And Ryan and Brock are the 2020 version of a snapshot of our sports lives together….our social lives together….our lives together period.
The only way to get the real skinny here is to only allow the player to answer about the other player:

Although Tremper’s record may not have ended how you wanted it to, most of all you want to remember that you were able to play. There were many teams that didn’t get to play.

Ryan is a Tremper Trojan but his dad is a former Bradford Red Devil

Family unity and togetherness stressing good values and treating others the way they want to be treated. They are also very competitive – especially his mom!

Definitely Ryan

Despite his season he kept fighting and never gave up. He always had a great attitude and was a great leader.

He has a good sense of humor and doesn’t take things too seriously. He is easy to get along with.
You have two sentences to say to Ryan anything you want about your time competing together whatcha sayin?
It was always my goal in high school to intercept Ryan at least one time. My junior year, I finally got my pick and on the return Ryan made the tackle and as we were on the ground Ryan said, “God Dammit Brock” and we both started laughing. It is something we will always remember.
