Snap-On Worldwide Celebrates 105th Year

Always a Class Act

My wife is a 20-year employee at Snap-On (shoutout to the Accounts Payable Department!!). She and her coworkers have been game planning for the 105th Celebration now for a while for one simple reason…..Snap-On ALWAYS puts on a great party. And they did not disappoint once again this past Thursday with an amazing bash with fantastic food, very solid beer choices, excellent local music, more games and fun for the kids that you can count, and just an all-around great party atmosphere. The day included speeches from dignitaries, many millions of dollars worth of Snap-On Racing vehicles, and a closing Drone Show that was a perfect ending to an awesome night!

My wife is proud to work at Snap-On…she always has been. It is a cornerstone American company located in KTown USA….hell yeah it is. And through the rare grumbles that all people have about their workplace, I know she is glad to be there and has no regrets for investing her talents and work ethic at this world leader in their field. She’s a total team player, and when they throw a party, she parties…and I love being there with her when she does. She wants to make sure the grandkids have plenty of food and plenty to do. She wants any of our available children to enjoy themselves….it’s just a top-notch event…the 110th can’t get here soon enough!

The highlights this year were many. Getting a chance to chill with our good friends from across the street is always a great thing. Meeting my wife’s boss’s boss was cool…I know my wife thinks very highly of her, and when we all met, we all knew plenty about each other, even though it was a first introduction…those meetings are always a pleasure. I got to hang with my one true “work ally” and her family and prep for another round of half-assed crazy on the north side. The food truck with the Brisket and Mac n Cheese was lights-out, and the aforementioned Drone Show was a WOW factor of the highest degree.

So a huge thank you to my wife for letting us join her in the celebration they threw down over on 80th and 30th. Thank you to Snap-On for providing my wife not only a great career but also for the care they give to their employees and their families. Thanks to Nick, the main man over there, for driving around ALL NIGHT in his modified Pope Mobile and literally greeting every employee in the place (my wife is always gonna deliver her “Thanks Nick” followed by a minute or two of conversation), And thanks to all the Kenoshans and others who have made Snap-On Worldwide a signature American company…well done…see you all at the 110th!
