The Big Dance of Kenosha Bars is ready for Round 3 with a trip to the Elite Eight at stake.  Four teams will punch their ticket Thursday, into the round of 8 and remain in the hunt for The Legacy Cup.  Here are the match-ups with some banter from a few of the patrons following the action:

East Regional

Nine seed Port of Kenosha takes on 4 seed Puzzle House in the East Semi-Final.  Said one long time patron of the Puzzle House…”We know when it is time, we gotta take it to the House, and Puzzle House will rule”.  The Port relies on its unique approach and continues to impress.  (Line: Puzzle House -7)

Number 2 seed Coins takes on upstart No 6 seed Cheers in the second game of the East Semi-Finals.  Coins is a pretty high-powered bar but Cheers local Louis said, “we may be a bar in a house, but it’s a sweet ass house”. (Line: Coins -9.5)

Southeast Regional

No 1 seed Bill’s Corner Club takes on 12 seed Gorge’s Club Highview in the first Southeast Regional Semi-Final.  Said a long-time Bill’s competitor George, “Kathy and Tim have always got a team playing in some tournament somewhere and in it to win it”.  (Line: Bill’s -12)

On the bottom half of the Southeast bracket, 3 seed Club Bene’s takes on 7 seed Swedish American. Said one Bene’s lifer, “I could stick my head out the door and yell it to them that we are going to kick their ass”. (Line: Club Bene’s -6)

Wet Regional

Brat Stop carried a No 1 seed into their match-up against Club Icon, a 12 seed.  Said Icon patron Gina, “it don’t surprise me we kickin it in something called a Big Dance, Club Icon’s dance floor is the shit”‘ The have their work cut out. (Line: Brat Stop -16)

In what promises to be a great proximity battle, No 10 seed Uncle Mike’s Highway Pub takes on No 11 seed Rivals.  Long-time Mike’s supporter K stated emphatically, “Mike’s is going to give them a Karate Kid-type ass whippin…wax on, wax off”. (Line: Mikes -1.5)

Midwest Regional

The Fifth seed in the Midwest, Scotty’s, takes on 8 seed VFW in this Friday Regional Semi-Final.  Said V.F.W. supporter D, “for some this is a wonderful home away from home…we are winning one for our veterans!!”. (Line: Scotty’s -4.5)

Oddly enough, D is enough of a regular in the next match-up to have her voice be heard here as well.  Seeded 11, Rose’s/Lotus goes up against tournament long-shot Our Kenosha Tap, a 15 seed.  “Rose’s/Lotus owns 60th Street because my mom and I have about 70 years seniority here” (Line: Pick ‘Em)
